Procter & Gamble reported a 4% increase in net sales to $23.3 billion for the quarter ending September 30. During this period, the company achieved a 4% rise in organic sales and a 1% growth in core earnings per share. Growth was recorded across all 10 product categories and all six global regions.

The company projects a commodity cost headwind of $1.4 billion after tax for the fiscal year. CFO Andre Schulten attributed these rising costs primarily to the conflict in the Middle East, with estimates based on a Brent crude oil price of $100 per barrel. Management expects these headwinds to intensify in the second quarter and the second half of fiscal 2027.

For fiscal year 2027, Procter & Gamble forecasts organic sales growth between 1% and 3%, with core earnings per share growth ranging from 0% to 3%. Despite a volatile macroeconomic environment, the company noted that global consumer demand remains resilient, with value growth of 2.5% to 3% observed across all categories.
