Positive Technologies has completed the migration of its corporate infrastructure to its proprietary antivirus solution, MaxPatrol EPP. The company previously relied on third-party software, which failed to meet internal requirements for comprehensive threat detection and resource management.
The transition process took one year from the start of the pilot project, with the final migration phase lasting two weeks. The implementation involved a group of 200 volunteers, including security researchers and IT specialists who frequently handle malware as part of their daily work.
Currently, MaxPatrol EPP is deployed on 2,400 corporate devices, while 900 servers are protected by MaxPatrol EDR agents. Both tools are integrated into the MaxPatrol Endpoint Security suite, which is managed via a single agent to reduce system overhead.
The shift to the proprietary solution resulted in a 20% reduction in RAM consumption. Additionally, the company reported decreased load on processors and disk resources, alongside improved stability across various operating systems used by office and remote staff.
The system integrates with other internal tools, including PT Sandbox, PT Fusion, MaxPatrol VM, and MaxPatrol SIEM. This ecosystem allows security analysts to isolate nodes, terminate processes, and manage assets from a centralized console without impacting employee productivity.
