Porsche is officially ending its Web3 initiative, which includes the discontinuation of the PIONΞERS CIRCLE holder club and the cessation of support for its NFT collection. The company announced that it will no longer maintain its dedicated X account, and the associated Discord server will transition into a read-only archive for historical content.

Despite the project closure, current owners will retain their PORSCHΞ 911 NFTs, which will continue to exist on the Ethereum blockchain. The automaker stated that this decision represents a strategic shift as it adapts to new opportunities. The project, which spanned nearly four years of development, aimed to connect the brand with the digital space.

The NFT collection originally launched in January 2023 with a planned supply of 7,500 tokens priced at 0.911 ETH each. Due to lower than expected demand, the sale was halted early after only 1,909 tokens were minted. Following the launch, the team organized various events and community sessions for token holders.

The exit of Porsche follows a broader trend of corporate retreats from the digital asset sector. Notable examples include Nike closing its RTFKT studio in January 2025 and the closure of the Nifty Gateway marketplace. Reports indicate that over 20 crypto-related projects ceased operations during the first quarter of 2026 amid cooling market conditions.
