Porsche reported global deliveries of 178,532 vehicles for the first nine months of 2026, marking a 16% decline compared to the previous year. The company saw sales drops across all major regions, with the Chinese market experiencing the most significant decrease at 33%, totaling 21,493 units delivered.
Performance varied across the model lineup. The Cayenne remained the top seller with 59,586 units, despite a 2% dip. The Macan followed with 51,025 units, including 23,029 electric versions. Conversely, the 911 model saw a 12% growth, reaching 42,217 units, while the Panamera, Taycan, and 718 series faced double-digit declines.
In response to these results, Porsche introduced the Sportwagenschmiede'35 strategy. The plan aims to improve profitability by focusing on mid-to-large sports cars and returning to internal combustion engine models. The company also intends to reduce its organizational size, with potential staff cuts of up to 30%.
