Porsche has begun testing a prototype of the facelifted Panamera at the Nürburgring without camouflage. The current third generation of the model debuted in 2023, and the manufacturer is now preparing a mid-lifecycle update for the five-door fastback.
The updated model features redesigned front bumper intakes aligned with the upper grille and diagonal wings on the lower section. The rear bumper includes new side outlets and a reshaped diffuser. The vehicle retains quad tailpipes and an active rear spoiler.
The prototype is likely the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant, as indicated by its aggressive styling and electrified stickers. The current flagship model produces 771 hp and holds a Nürburgring lap time of 7:24.17. Porsche aims to improve these performance metrics.
Interior upgrades may include a curved touchscreen similar to the one in the Cayenne Electric, alongside a refreshed digital instrument cluster. The company is also evaluating the future of non-electrified engine options based on emission regulations in Europe.
While an official launch date has not been announced, the update is expected within the coming months. Development of the facelifted model has been ongoing since early 2026, with the vehicle currently in the final testing stages.
