PONS, the native token of the Pons platform on the Robinhood Chain, reached a price of $0.5978 on Uniswap as of September 3. This represents a 31.82% increase over 24 hours and a significant rise from its July 17 low of $0.0033. The token currently holds a market capitalization estimated between $392 million and $576 million.
Pons functions as a launchpad for meme coins on the Robinhood Chain, which launched on July 1. The platform allows users to deploy tokens with a fixed supply of 1 billion without requiring coding. Pons generates revenue through trading fees, with 80% of these funds used for an automatic buyback-and-burn mechanism. To date, approximately 288 million tokens have been destroyed.
The platform has seen substantial activity, recording $5.95 million in daily fees on September 3, ranking fourth among crypto protocols tracked by DefiLlama. PONS surpassed CashCat to become the largest token by market cap on the Robinhood Chain. On September 2, Binance Wallet added PONS to its Alpha trading tier.
The token is currently available for trading on Uniswap, MEXC, Gate.io, KuCoin, and Binance Alpha, with futures contracts available on Hyperliquid, Bybit, and Aster. The project's growth follows the exit of an early competitor, Noxa, and the platform's ability to maintain volume despite competition from the Pools.trade launchpad.
