Pons, a non-custodial token launchpad operating on the Robinhood Chain, announced that its cumulative trading volume through Uniswap v4 hook pools surpassed $6 billion. The platform reached this milestone on October 7, 2026, less than three months after its initial launch on July 13, 2026.

The protocol utilizes a V2 model where tokens remain on a bonding curve until reaching a threshold of approximately 4.2 ETH. Upon graduation, tokens move to a permanently locked, full-range liquidity position on Uniswap v4. This mechanism is managed by the PonsV2MemeHook, which handles swaps and distributes trading fees.

The fee structure allocates roughly 70% of proceeds to token creators, while the remaining 30% goes to the Pons protocol. The project uses a portion of its earnings to conduct recurring buybacks and burns of its native PONS token to reduce circulating supply.

In early September 2026, the Robinhood Chain recorded $901.5 million in trading volume, accounting for 56.3% of the total $1.6 billion daily volume on Uniswap. During that period, Pons generated $5.95 million in daily trading fees, with weekly averages reaching tens of millions.

Uniswap Labs acquired PONS tokens in early September 2026, signaling long-term engagement with the project. The current V2 contract design was implemented on August 3, 2026, replacing the previous method of deploying tokens directly to Uniswap v3.
