Polymarket has appointed Lisa Mantil, a former Goldman Sachs managing director and partner, to its team to drive institutional capital and liquidity. Mantil spent nearly two decades at Goldman Sachs, focusing on program trading and equities execution infrastructure.

The company has hired at least four senior executives over the past five weeks. Among the new appointments is Warren Jenson, formerly the finance chief at Amazon and Nielsen, who has joined as the platform's first CFO. Additional staff were recruited from Nasdaq, Robinhood, and Coinbase.

Polymarket currently operates a CFTC-regulated exchange in the US alongside its international on-chain operations. The platform is reportedly seeking a new funding round that could bring its valuation to approximately $21 billion.

The platform now competes directly with Kalshi in the US market. Meanwhile, traditional financial firms such as Susquehanna and DRW are reportedly entering the prediction market space to explore arbitrage and liquidity provision opportunities.
