Polymarket has appointed Warren Jenson as its first Chief Financial Officer, effective September 10, 2026. Jenson, who previously held CFO roles at Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines, and NBC, will report directly to founder Shayne Coplan. He currently serves on the boards of Dropbox and Ripple.

The company is currently seeking to raise approximately $1 billion in a funding round led by 1789 Capital. This investment is expected to value the platform at $21 billion. Since its relaunch in late 2025, the platform has achieved an annualized revenue run rate exceeding $1 billion.

This leadership change follows increased competition from Kalshi, which reported trading volumes nearly five times higher than Polymarket in August 2026. Kalshi previously secured a legal victory against the CFTC, allowing it to offer regulated event contracts to users in the United States.

Polymarket has recently transitioned into a CFTC-regulated exchange to serve U.S. users and introduced a social feature called Squads to improve engagement. Jenson's experience in scaling companies and managing capital is intended to support the firm's growth and institutional credibility.
