Polestar has launched the Polestar 4 SUV, a new variant of its electric vehicle built on the Geely SEA architecture. The model features a traditional rear window, departing from the camera-only design of the original coupé. Production of the vehicle began in the second quarter of 2026 at the Busan facility in South Korea, with initial customer deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The SUV is available in three configurations in Germany: the rear-motor version starts at €57 900, the dual-motor version at €65 900, and the Performance pack at €76 300. All models are equipped with a 100 kWh battery. The rear-motor variant offers up to 630 km of WLTP range, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version provides up to 600 km of range.
The vehicle includes 1 680 liters of total storage capacity and provides 2,5 cm more second-row headroom than the coupé. New features include Vehicle-to-Load capability with 3,3 kW output, a Camping mode, and the integration of Google Gemini as the in-car voice AI. The Performance pack adds ZF active dampers, Brembo brakes, and 22-inch wheels.
Polestar reported record retail sales of 30 423 vehicles during the first half of 2026. The company continues to rely on support from Geely as it works to improve its financial position. The new SUV design aims to address consumer demand for increased practicality, including roof rails that support a dynamic load of 100 kg.
