Polaroid has introduced the Mod, a new instant camera featuring four distinct analog shooting modes. The device is available globally starting today via the company's online store for $169.99, with a broader retail release in the United States scheduled for October 6th.
The camera includes a dial around the lens to toggle between creative effects. Double Exposure allows users to layer two images, while Split Shot uses a rotating accessory to divide the frame. Light Painting captures long-exposure light trails, and Motion Freeze combines a slow shutter speed with a flash to record motion trails alongside a sharp subject.
The Polaroid Mod is compatible with i-Type and 600 film stocks in both color and black and white. It features a fixed-focus system with interchangeable 103mm standard and 95mm portrait lenses. The internal 750mAh battery supports up to 15 packs of film, totaling approximately 120 exposures on a single charge.
