According to hardware leaker KeplerL2, the cost of RAM and NAND flash storage for the upcoming PlayStation 6 exceeds $680. This figure accounts only for memory components, excluding the APU, power supply, cooling systems, and other hardware elements.

Previous estimates from the same source indicated a total bill of materials for the console at approximately $760 in March, which rose to roughly $960 by July. These fluctuations reflect the ongoing impact of AI data centers on the global supply and pricing of DRAM and NAND components.

Current leaks suggest the console may feature GDDR7 memory on a 160-bit bus. While the architecture supports up to 40 GB, industry reports indicate that a 30 GB configuration is more probable. Sony has reportedly explored reducing memory capacity to mitigate rising production costs.

The company has not provided official details regarding the final retail price of the PlayStation 6. However, given the current memory market conditions, analysts suggest the console could potentially reach a price point of $1,000, significantly higher than the PS5 Pro.
