Pilot Flying J has launched its inaugural Tesla Megacharger site at a travel center in Ellabell, Georgia. This facility, designated as Pilot number 1390, provides six dedicated stalls for heavy-duty electric trucks.

The companies are currently building 12 additional charging sites. Three of these locations, situated in Tulare, California, Fort Stockton, Texas, and North Las Vegas, Nevada, are scheduled to begin operations shortly.

Each new site will offer between four and eight charging stalls utilizing Tesla V4 cabinet technology. These chargers are capable of delivering a maximum power output of 1.2 megawatts per unit.

Pilot and Tesla intend to establish a broader network of Megachargers along major freight corridors. The expansion will focus on select locations across California, Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, and Texas, including routes along I-5 and I-10.
