Pi Network has released Pi Desktop version 0.6.3, which introduces updates to the SoloHost framework for self-hosted applications. The update adds a dashboard for managing applications, new ranking features based on user activity, and improvements to system reliability through readiness checks.

For developers, the release includes a starter repository for AI coding agents and new testing options via Docker Compose. The Pi Core Team also announced that the software previously known as Pi Node will now be referred to as Pi Desktop, signaling an expansion of its role beyond blockchain validation.

Despite these technical updates, the release does not introduce new features to increase PI token utility. The project is still developing a plan to compensate node operators in PI for distributed computing tasks, but this functionality was not included in the current version.

The PI token is currently trading near $0.097. This represents a 9% increase over the past month, following a low of $0.071. However, the asset remains more than 96% below its all-time high of $2.99 recorded in February 2025.
