Hardware Unboxed tested the Radeon RX 9050 4GB, an OEM-only graphics card. Compared to the 8GB version, the 4GB model features a 64-bit memory bus and 16MB of Infinity Cache, both halved in capacity.
In testing across 18 games at Full HD resolution, the 8GB variant outperformed the 4GB version by 32–37%. The average frame rate of the 4GB card roughly matches the minimum frame rate of the 8GB model.
The new card is approximately 35% faster than the older RX 6500 XT. Performance benchmarks suggest the RX 9050 4GB slightly trails the RTX 3050, making it difficult to find a modern equivalent.
The reviewers acquired the card within a CyberPower PC priced at $750, which includes 8GB of RAM, a 500GB SSD, and a Ryzen 5 5500 processor. Based on component estimates, the card's value is approximately $250.
