DeFi protocol Pendle has integrated NGI+, a tokenized infrastructure product developed by Asseto. This allows users to deposit yield-bearing tokens and split them into two tradable components: a Principal Token for fixed returns and a Yield Token for variable upside.
The underlying asset is private infrastructure equity linked to the Next Generation Infrastructure strategy by Partners Group. This strategy focuses on investments in decarbonization and digitization sectors.
NGI+ launched on July 7, 2026. By mid-September 2026, the product reached a total value of approximately $4.17 million. The Partners Group strategy has recorded a cumulative net return of 48.8% since February 2024, with volatility below 2.5%.
Asseto manages the on-chain lifecycle of the NGI+ token, including audits and legal compliance. The fund utilizes an open-ended structure, removing the fixed-term lockups typically associated with traditional infrastructure investments.
