Peloton has introduced the Tread Flex, a new folding treadmill priced at $2,195. The device features a two-cylinder release mechanism that lowers the deck in approximately 25 seconds and can be folded upright to reduce its floor footprint by 50 percent. It includes caster wheels for mobility and the standard Tread Lock passcode system, though it lacks sensor-based safety features and a camera.
The company also rebranded its existing models as the Tread Vision, priced at $3,495, and the Tread Plus Vision, priced at $6,695. Both models now feature improved deck cushioning, redesigned jump buttons for speed and incline, and updated accessory trays. The Tread Plus Vision additionally includes a new sled mode designed for performance athletes.
All three treadmills receive software updates, including personalized pace recommendations based on workout history and the ReRun feature. ReRun allows users to upload outdoor route data from the Peloton app or smartwatches to simulate courses with automatic incline adjustments. Peloton is partnering with NYRR to provide access to segments of the New York City Marathon course.
Models equipped with cameras now support a running analysis feature. Following a one-time calibration, the system tracks metrics such as cadence, stride length, and vertical oscillation to provide users with an efficiency score and form improvement tips. Peloton intends for these hardware and software updates to drive new membership signups and growth in the treadmill segment.
