Payward, the parent company of Kraken, announced a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank on October 4, 2026. The collaboration integrates the SGB Net clearing network into Payward’s infrastructure to provide institutional clients in Asia and the Gulf region with 24/7 instant settlement for digital assets.
The service will initially focus on USD transactions for a select group of clients. Liquidity for these operations will be managed through Kraken Prime, the institutional prime brokerage arm of Payward. The companies intend to expand the range of supported currencies and the client base over time.
Singapore Gulf Bank is a digital bank regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, which launched corporate services in late 2024. Its SGB Net network, active since May 2025, processes over $2 billion in monthly fiat transaction volume and already supports partners like Cactus Custody and Fireblocks.
This initiative follows a similar partnership established by Payward with SoFi in September 2026, which utilized the SoFi Exchange Network for real-time USD settlements. The goal of the new integration is to reduce operational friction and enable institutional clients to deploy funds outside of traditional banking hours.
