Parkopedia has entered a partnership with data aggregator Voltality to supply real-time information on electric vehicle charging to automotive manufacturers. The service covers four markets in Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
The network includes approximately 4,500 charging locations, 15,000 connectors, and 23 charge point operators. Voltality aggregates live data from these networks, which Parkopedia then processes into a verified stream for integration into vehicle systems.
This collaboration aims to simplify market entry for carmakers, specifically targeting Chinese manufacturers. By using this solution, OEMs can avoid establishing individual data partnerships with local operators in each country.
Charge point operators connected to the Voltality network gain visibility within in-car systems across the region without requiring infrastructure updates. Parkopedia previously launched a similar service in 2023 with Plugsurfing, covering over 500,000 charging points in Europe.
