The Pangu Stone mobile forensics team, a division of Qi An Xin Technology Group, has released version R8.8.0 of its forensic software. This update focuses on three core areas: data extraction, analysis, and security management, aiming to improve forensic capabilities for law enforcement and government agencies.
The software now supports privilege escalation for Android 17, alongside new support for Android 16 on Samsung and Xiaomi devices. Additionally, the update improves IMEI extraction stability for Huawei HarmonyOS devices and adds support for private space data in Wi-Fi extraction for OPPO devices. New features also include low-battery alerts and MTP connection detection.
In terms of data analysis, the tool can now locate and reassemble deleted multimedia fragments from WeChat, including images, audio, and video, to reconstruct chat contexts. Support for HarmonyOS applications has expanded to include Doubao, Qwen, Kuaishou Lite, and Douyin Lite, while Telegram data parsing has been updated to match the latest structures.
Security management features have been bolstered with unified user management and role-based access control. The system now includes audit logs for tracking logins, forensic tasks, and data exports. Users can apply custom watermarks to software interfaces and reports, and implement automated data cleanup policies to manage sensitive information effectively.
