Copenhagen-based startup Pandektes has secured €13.5 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Alstin Capital, with participation from PROfounders, Scale Capital, and previous backers. This follows a €2.9 million seed round raised by the company last year.
Founded in 2022 by Casper Laursen and Søren Brokær, the company provides a platform that aggregates and structures legal data, including court rulings and legislation. The service is currently utilized by over 500 law firms, public institutions, and enterprises across Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.
The startup reports a sixfold increase in revenue over the last 12 months, with approximately two-thirds of trial users converting into paying customers. Pandektes aims to challenge established market players like LexisNexis and Westlaw by providing a modern data infrastructure for legal research.
The new capital will support the company's expansion into North America and further growth within Europe. Additionally, Pandektes plans to scale its team and launch an API to provide its structured data layer to other organizations building legal technology products.
