The new OWC Thunderbolt 5 dock supports direct connection of two HDMI displays without requiring additional adapters. This feature is designed to simplify cable management for users working with multiple high-resolution and high-refresh-rate monitors.
The device utilizes Thunderbolt 5 technology, offering a bidirectional bandwidth of 80 Gbps and up to 120 Gbps in unidirectional video boost mode. It is specifically optimized for professional Mac and PC users, including video editors, audio engineers, and 3D creators.
The dock includes a variety of ports: multiple downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, a multi-rate Gigabit Ethernet port, SD and microSD card slots, a 3.5mm audio jack, and several USB-A and USB-C ports. It provides up to 140W of power delivery to charge high-performance laptops.
Housed in an aluminum alloy chassis, the dock uses passive cooling to maintain stability during intensive tasks. The product is currently available for pre-order and will begin shipping globally in the near future.
