OPPO has announced a partnership with the AI agent platform Manus to integrate advanced agent capabilities into its AI Mind Pilot system. This collaboration aims to transition AI from simple question-answering to proactive task execution, allowing the system to understand user intent and perform multi-step operations.

The new agent-based functionality will debut on the upcoming OPPO Find X10 series, which will come pre-installed with the ColorOS 17 operating system. The AI Mind Pilot will be capable of retrieving information, selecting appropriate tools, and processing files or photos stored directly on the device to generate complete results.

For travel planning, the AI can automatically extract booking details from various apps and combine them with online data to create personalized itineraries. In professional settings, users can issue commands to organize photos, search for specific images, or consolidate local files and web data into presentations and reports.

OPPO emphasizes privacy by utilizing on-device models for ColorOS 17. Local tasks, such as managing files or photos, are processed entirely on the handset without sharing data with Manus. For tasks requiring cloud processing, the system will explicitly request user permission before any information is uploaded or shared.
