Oppo has launched an open beta program for ColorOS 17, which is based on Android 17. The initiative covers 19 smartphone models across the Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme brands, allowing users to test the software before the official international launch.
Regional availability for the beta varies. Oppo device owners in India, Indonesia, and Malaysia can participate in the program. For users of OnePlus and Realme smartphones, the beta testing is currently restricted to the Indian market.
To join the program, users must ensure their devices are running the latest firmware. Applications are submitted through the settings menu under the Beta Program section. The company is accepting requests until October 12.
Following the application approval, the update is delivered via an over-the-air installation. Oppo advises users to back up their data before proceeding, as the software is still in a preliminary testing phase.
The official global presentation of ColorOS 17 is scheduled for October 13. During this event, the developer plans to disclose further details regarding new system features and the timeline for the stable release.
