Opera has integrated a travel eSIM service directly into its Android browser, allowing users to manage connectivity without installing additional applications. The service supports 47 destinations globally and provides access to 5G networks where local carriers offer such coverage.
Eligible users in countries including the US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, UAE, Brazil, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Poland can claim 3GB of free data valid for three days. This trial requires no payment information or email address to activate.
Once the trial expires, users can purchase data plans of 3GB, 5GB, or 10GB, which remain valid for 30 days. The eSIM is reusable across different countries, though a new data plan must be purchased for each specific region visited.
The feature requires a device with eSIM support running Android 10 or higher. The service provides mobile data only and does not replace the user's existing phone number or voice communication capabilities.
