OpenRoboto has introduced Shift, a decentralized platform designed to collect egocentric video data for training vision-language-action robotics models. The system incentivizes contributors to record real-world environments, such as kitchens and factories, to create structured training datasets.

Shift operates on Bittensor Subnet 80, which launched on the mainnet on July 29, 2026. The subnet hosts competitions where miners refine open-weight models, such as LingBot-VLA 2.0 and π0.5, against LIBERO-Pro benchmarks. As of early September 2026, 85% of subnet emissions supported physical-robot competitions.

The platform utilizes a reward distribution model for top performers, typically following a 70/20/10 split. Axis Robotics previously contributed over 3 million multimodal trajectories to the project's Open Data Pool, providing visual, spatial, and action data.

On September 17, 2026, Subnet 80 launched its native alpha token on the Base network using Chainlink CCIP and ForeverMoney. The token, known as SN80, currently trades at approximately 0.0258 τ, which equates to roughly $8.20 based on current TAO valuations.
