The OpenClaw Foundation released OpenClaw Enterprise (OCE) on September 29, 2026. This free, open-source control plane is designed for managing persistent AI agents within multi-user enterprise environments. It provides features such as multi-tenancy, auditability, governance controls, and security boundaries.

The project originated at OpenAI before being donated to the OpenClaw Foundation. Peter Steinberger initially developed the OpenClaw framework in late 2025. The platform is model-agnostic and supports deployment via docker-compose for local testing or Kubernetes for production workloads.

Red Hat and NVIDIA are collaborating on the project. Currently, internal pilot programs are underway at Red Hat and OpenAI. The platform follows the release of OpenClaw 2.0, which launched on August 30, 2026, to introduce collaborative and security protocols.

OCE is entirely self-hosted on user infrastructure and contains no paid tiers or subscription-based features. The foundation expects to release version 1.0 in the near future.
