OpenAI introduced 'Dots' at DevDay 2026, autonomous agents powered by the GPT-6 Astra model. These agents operate on dedicated cloud computers, integrate with over 4,000 applications, and function independently even when the user is offline. Access is currently limited to Pro and Business Premium subscribers.
The company launched 'ChatGPT Space,' a collaborative environment for teams and AI agents. It features 'Pages' for shared document editing and task delegation. Additionally, OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Sol, a new model designed for professional tasks that costs one-fifth of the price of the Astra model.
OpenAI introduced the 'Ultrafast' tier, which generates tokens at speeds of up to 300 tokens per second using Cerebras processors. This service is available for Pro 500 and Enterprise plans. The company also debuted the 'Decisions API' for rapid, task-specific logic and expanded its open-source offerings.
Security enhancements include the 'Codex Security Cloud' for repository scanning and 'Private Intelligence' features. The latter offers zero data retention and confidential computing for sensitive industries. OpenAI also announced 'Bedrock Managed Agents' in partnership with Amazon to host agents within AWS.
The new 'Sign in with ChatGPT' feature allows users to utilize their plan allowances across 16 partner platforms, including Notion and Devin. Furthermore, OpenAI launched a marketplace for enterprise customers, featuring 32 initial partners such as Adobe, Salesforce, and CrowdStrike.
