OpenAI is reportedly seeking at least $30 billion in new funding. The company is targeting a pre-money valuation of approximately $1.4 trillion. These discussions are currently in the early stages, and the terms remain subject to change.

This potential round serves as bridge financing while the company delays its IPO. In March, OpenAI closed a financing round of $122 billion at a post-money valuation of $852 billion, which was supported by Amazon, Nvidia, SoftBank, and Microsoft.

The company's annualized revenue run rate is approaching $70 billion, marking a growth of over 70% since the beginning of the third quarter. Enterprise sales have more than doubled during this period, and consumer revenue in the third quarter exceeded the total for 2025.

The new valuation represents a 17% increase over previous estimates of $1.2 trillion and is 64% higher than the valuation recorded in March. Investors in the previous round included firms such as a16z, D. E. Shaw Ventures, MGX, TPG, and T. Rowe Price Associates.
