OpenAI is launching a 28-day development initiative focused on its Codex and ChatGPT Work products. Thibault Sottiaux, head of core products and platforms, announced that the team will roll out daily feature updates aimed at delivering practical improvements for the majority of users.
The update cycle is scheduled to run from October 5 through November 2. Sottiaux stated that if the team fails to release a meaningful update on any given day, they will implement a reset. Specific details regarding the nature of this reset or which user groups it might affect remain undisclosed.
The company is currently prioritizing product simplification and efficiency to accommodate higher usage volumes. According to Sottiaux, the development team is also working on introducing breakthrough features and developing new models based on direct user feedback requesting a more streamlined experience.
