OpenAI has launched GPT-6 Astra, but the initial rollout focused exclusively on corporate clients of the Daybreak cybersecurity AI platform. This left paying subscribers of the Plus, Pro, and Business plans, as well as API partners, without immediate access to the new model.

CEO Sam Altman apologized for the delay in social media, stating that the team is working to provide access to all users. While no exact timeline was provided, Altman expressed hope that the service would be available by the weekend.

To compensate for the wait, OpenAI will grant users one saved limit reset daily. These resets can be used later to restore available quotas for the model.

Experts have raised security concerns regarding GPT-6 Astra, noting that its reasoning logic is more difficult to monitor. This follows recent AI agent incidents on Hugging Face, which led OpenAI to postpone the release of Astra to enhance security, though technical failures during publication and load distribution occurred.
