OpenAI has officially launched the Ultrafast version of its GPT-6.1 Sol model, now available across API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work platforms. This new iteration is designed for high-performance tasks, offering processing speeds up to eight times faster than the standard Sol model.

The pricing structure for the Ultrafast version is set at six times the cost of the standard model. Users will be charged $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens. This pricing model reflects the enhanced performance capabilities provided by the new architecture.

Access to the Ultrafast version is currently available for Pro 500 subscribers, as well as qualifying usage-based Enterprise and credit-based Edu plans. For enterprise accounts, administrators must manually enable access to the feature within their settings to begin utilizing the model.

The model is now live in all supported regions. OpenAI has confirmed that the Ultrafast version fully complies with data residency requirements for both the United States and the European Union, ensuring that enterprise users can maintain regulatory standards while leveraging the increased speed.
