Aspirity Partners has entered the Nordic market by leading a funding round for Copenhagen-based IoT infrastructure firm Onomondo. The investment exceeds €100 million and includes continued support from Denmark’s sovereign investment fund, EIFO, which has backed the company since 2021.
Founded in 2012, Onomondo provides a proprietary technology stack for global device connectivity. The company currently serves over 500 customers, including Maersk, Carlsberg, and Husqvarna. Its infrastructure supports operations across ships, trucks, and factories, providing access to nearly 700 networks worldwide.
A notable project for the firm includes the deployment of a private LTE network across more than 450 Maersk vessels. This system allows assets to switch between private shipboard networks and public global networks, addressing connectivity challenges in remote industrial environments.
The new capital is earmarked for international expansion and the scaling of Onomondo’s infrastructure. This deal follows the company’s previous €20.2 million funding round in 2022 and aligns with broader investment trends in the European connectivity sector throughout 2026.
