OnePlus China President Li Jie announced that the upcoming OnePlus 16 smartphone will feature a global 165Hz refresh rate. This capability is supported by hardware-level upgrades to the device's X4 display material and circuitry, allowing the high refresh rate to function across both system applications and third-party software.

The device will launch with the ColorOS 17 operating system pre-installed. According to leaked interface images, users will be able to toggle the 165Hz setting directly within the system configuration menu.

OPPO also detailed its broader rollout plan for ColorOS 17. The official update for existing devices, including the OnePlus 15 and 15T series, is scheduled to begin on October 8. Alongside the OnePlus 16, the new OS will debut on the OPPO Find X10 series and the OPPO Watch S2.
