Siemens eMobility and OMV have launched their first charging park featuring the new Sicharge Flex system in Kufstein, Austria. Located on the Brenner route, the site currently provides six DC charging points for passenger cars and trucks, each delivering up to 400 kW of power.

The facility is designed to support heavy-duty electric transport moving between Germany, Austria, and Italy. Future expansion plans include adding four Megawatt Charging System points with power levels ranging from 600 kW to 1.2 MW, enabling a 620-kWh battery to charge from 20 to 80 per cent in about 45 minutes.

The Sicharge Flex system offers a scalable architecture with a total power range of 480 kW to 1.68 MW, allowing for dynamic power distribution. OMV plans to deploy additional units across Austria in the coming months, utilizing the Sifinity Control cloud platform for infrastructure management.

This project builds on Siemens' existing European fast-charging initiatives, including the deployment of 84 charging points across seven sites in Portugal. OMV continues to expand its role as a charge point operator across Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania.
