OM System showcased two upcoming lens models during a recent official YouTube broadcast. The new products include the M.Zuiko Digital 45 mm f/1.8 II and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4.5-5.6 R II, both of which are currently in development.
The 45 mm f/1.8 II lens maintains a design similar to its predecessor, which was originally released in 2013 with a full-frame equivalent focal length of 90 mm. Expected upgrades for this new version include a modern autofocus motor, weather-sealed construction, and improved lens coatings.
Regarding the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/4.5-5.6 R II, there is a discrepancy in the official presentation materials. While the slide lists specific aperture values, the markings on the lens barrel itself indicate a maximum aperture of f/4.0.
As of now, the company has not disclosed any information regarding the official release dates or the pricing for either of the two new lens models.
