Counterpoint Research forecasts that OLED panel shipments for laptops will grow by 50% in 2026 and 24% in 2027. The technology is expected to dominate the premium laptop display market as manufacturers increasingly adopt it for its design, image quality, and cost benefits.
In contrast, Mini LED panel shipments are projected to decline by 38% this year, with a further 60% drop anticipated by 2027. Despite these shifts, the combined market for high-end laptop screens is expected to see an 11% increase in shipments this year, while the overall laptop panel market faces a 3% decline.
Analysts project a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26% for OLED shipment volume and 35% for revenue between 2024 and 2030. Key technical drivers for this adoption include tandem structures, photolithography without FMM, phosphorescent blue materials, and upgrades to production line generations.
