OKXICE, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and OKX, has announced plans to launch a Tokenized Securities Venue. The platform intends to list tokenized versions of more than 60 US National Market System stocks, including Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla, with trading pairs against stablecoins.
The venue will operate on X Layer, the blockchain developed by OKX, utilizing Uniswap v4 hooks to manage compliance. Access to the permissioned pools requires users to pass KYC and AML screenings, after which they receive non-transferable soulbound tokens as credentials.
On October 4, 2026, OKXICE filed a public notice with the SEC, citing the regulator's Innovation Exemption issued on September 17, 2026. The filing has triggered a 30-day objection period, during which Cerebras has already submitted an objection.
If the project proceeds, trading could begin in early November 2026. The system allows for 24/7 operations, with OKXICE retaining administrative control to pause trading, create pools, and upgrade contracts. ICE previously acquired a minority stake in OKX in March 2026.
