The Okdesk platform has introduced new features for long-term planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks. Users can now create maintenance schedules for up to five years, visualize future workloads, and automate the conversion of planned tasks into service tickets.
The new 'Maintenance Plans' module allows for the definition of task frequency and the use of technical checklists. Future work is displayed in a calendar view, enabling managers to identify peak loads and potential staff shortages based on labor hour requirements before deadlines occur.
Once a scheduled date arrives, the system automatically generates a ticket, assigns a responsible party, and attaches the relevant technical documentation. After completion, the system logs actual results, time spent, materials used, and any identified issues.
According to Okdesk founder Kirill Fedulov, this update bridges the gap between basic service management tools and complex EAM systems. The solution is designed for service companies, commercial real estate, retail chains, and manufacturing firms.
