OhSnap has released the Wallet 2, a modular, lever-action card holder that attaches magnetically to smartphones. The device features a spring-loaded lever that fans out stored cards for easy access. Users can assemble or disassemble the wallet without tools by swapping internal cores and magnetic plates.

The system allows for different configurations, including 3, 5, or 7-card cores. Users can attach various accessories such as ID holders, work badges, elastic bands, or money clips to the front and back plates. The structure utilizes a compliant mechanism where plastic arms lock into notches to secure the modular components.

The 7-card version of the wallet adds 127 grams to the phone's total weight. While the 3-card variant is marketed as thin, the overall profile increases significantly with the addition of MagSafe and MagStack plates. The manufacturer notes that the wallet may come apart if dropped on hard surfaces like concrete.

Pricing for the product varies based on the configuration and sales channel. A 3-card kit with double magnets costs $61 on Kickstarter and $76 at retail. Additional accessories, such as an ID cover or a money clip, are priced at $35 each.
