Nvidia has released the GeForce 617.70 hotfix driver, which addresses specific performance and display issues for 360Hz monitors. This update is based on the GeForce 617.42 WHQL version and is not distributed automatically via the Nvidia App, requiring users to download the installer manually from the company's official server.

The primary fix resolves a bug where the frame rate on G-SYNC Pulsar displays was incorrectly capped at 320 FPS. This issue caused increased input latency due to a synchronization mismatch between the Pulsar pulse timing and the frame output. The update also addresses intermittent black screen flickering on 360Hz QHD monitors during gameplay.

The flickering issue primarily affects users with GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 40 series graphics cards. Nvidia noted that this driver only resolves some instances of the flickering, and investigations into other cases are ongoing. For users still experiencing issues, the company recommends setting the power management mode to 'Prefer maximum performance' in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Nvidia also acknowledged a known issue where G-SYNC and G-SYNC Pulsar features may become unavailable after a monitor wakes from sleep mode. The company has successfully reproduced this bug internally but has not yet provided a timeline for a permanent fix.
