NUSX is establishing its second global outpost at the Munich Urban Colab, an 11,000-square-metre innovation hub. This partnership aims to link the Singapore and Munich innovation ecosystems, focusing on biotech, AI, and semiconductors.

The collaboration facilitates access to European partners and investors for NUS DeepTech ventures. Simultaneously, TUM Venture Labs is considering a representative presence at the NUS i³ building in Singapore to support Munich-based startups in Asia.

NUS is currently in advanced discussions with a Munich-based venture capital firm to join the €102 million NUS VC Programme as its fifth partner. This move is intended to strengthen capital links for founders across both regions.

The initiative builds on the NUS Overseas Colleges programme, which has connected nearly 120 NUS students and over 90 TUM students since 2017. Students will gain access to internships and venture-building programmes like the Digital Product School.

The partnership aligns with Singapore's RIE2030 strategy, which allocates SGD 37 billion to research and innovation over five years. Both institutions aim to streamline the process of scaling technology ventures across international markets.
