Nubia has opened pre-orders for the NaviX Ultra, which the company describes as the world's first AI agent smartphone. The device is scheduled for an official launch on Wednesday, September 16. The project is a joint development between ZTE and ByteDance, featuring the Doubao mobile assistant.

According to reports, the device will not utilize GUI technology to read screens or simulate clicks within third-party applications from Alibaba or Tencent. Instead, the smartphone shifts its approach to how it interacts with these super-apps, moving away from automated screen manipulation.

The hardware configuration is expected to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor and a 7000mAh silicon-carbon anode battery. The device supports wired charging at 90W or 100W, as well as wireless charging. The camera system features a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP front camera.

A key technical feature is the integration of CXMT's LPDDR5X memory, which operates at a speed of 10667Mbps. This marks the first mass-market application of this high-speed domestic DRAM chip, indicating that Chinese-made mobile memory has reached top-tier commercial performance standards.
