The National Payment Card System (NSPK) has upgraded its loyalty platform to enable real-time cashback for payments made via the Faster Payments System (SBP). Unlike traditional card payments that require clearing, SBP transactions are final at the moment of execution, allowing for immediate reward processing.

The platform currently supports over 500 active promotional campaigns for both Mir cards and SBP. The system is designed to handle 1,200 transactions per second, with a target capacity of over 4,000. During load testing, 98% of standard transactions were processed in under two seconds.

The architecture is split into two distinct loops to maintain performance. The online loop, powered by Cassandra and Kafka, handles transaction preparation, cashback calculation, and payout initiation. The offline loop, based on PostgreSQL, manages user registration, reporting, and personal account data.

The system distinguishes between a 'hot path' for standard purchases and a 'cold path' for returns. While standard purchases are processed quickly, returns require a historical analysis of previous transactions to recalculate rewards, which is more resource-intensive.

The project evolved from an MVP launched on July 4, 2023, which initially processed operations in batches. The platform, accessible via the vamprivet.ru website and the Privet! mobile application, ensures that the entire process from transaction receipt to payout instruction is completed within one minute.
