The Hi-Kvadrat company has migrated the client portal of NPF Gazfond Pension Savings to a domestic software stack. The project utilized the XSQuare rapid development platform, replacing previous systems based on Microsoft technologies.
The transition was completed in 9 months, significantly faster than the industry standard of 2–3 years. The new solution supports nearly 7 million clients and operates on Red OS and PostgreSQL, utilizing a three-level caching system to handle billions of data rows.
By moving infrastructure to a public cloud and abandoning native mobile apps in favor of a web-based application, the fund eliminated capital expenditures on server hardware. The system now supports biometric login and push notifications.
The update reduced the total cost of ownership by a factor of six. Savings on software licenses reached tens to hundreds of millions of rubles, while monthly infrastructure costs decreased by millions of rubles.
