Swiss biotechnology company Nouscom has secured $135 million in a new funding round. The investment was co-led by M Ventures and Revelation Partners. New investors include Angelini Industries, the European Investment Bank, and Neva SGR.
Existing backers also participated in the round, including 5AM Ventures, Andera Partners, EQT Life Sciences, and Bpifrance. The company previously raised a Series C round of €75.8 million, which was extended in March 2024.
The capital is designated for a global registration-enabling trial of NOUS-209. This off-the-shelf vaccine targets Lynch syndrome, a condition affecting one in 300 people with up to an 80% lifetime cancer risk.
The US Food and Drug Administration granted Fast Track designation to the vaccine on June 1, 2026. The therapy uses viral vectors to train T cells to identify and attack precancerous cells before tumors form.
In a Phase 1b/2 trial involving 45 participants, 85% of those evaluated showed a neoantigen-specific immune response that remained detectable after one year. The company aims to provide an alternative to standard surveillance and surgery.
