Nothing has officially launched the Headphone (1) Pro, a new flagship over-ear headset priced at $399. The device features a unique three-driver architecture, with separate units dedicated to low, mid, and high frequencies, including a 40mm dynamic driver and an xMEMS solid-state driver for improved transient response.
The headphones are designed for both general consumers and audio professionals, featuring a Flat EQ switch for neutral sound reproduction and a 'Studio B' spatial audio mode developed in collaboration with Metropolis Studios. The device supports LDAC, Hi-Res audio, and USB-C connectivity up to 24bit/192kHz, alongside a traditional 3.5mm analog jack.
Active noise cancellation has been upgraded with a 10-microphone array, capable of reducing ambient noise by up to 46 decibels. The physical design incorporates a 9H hardness Panda Glass exterior, aluminum and titanium components, and an IP52 rating. The headset weighs approximately 327 grams.
Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours with ANC enabled and up to 68 hours with ANC turned off. The product includes Auracast support for broadcasting audio to multiple devices. The headphones will be available starting September 29 in the US and Canada via Nothing's website, Amazon, and Best Buy.
