Nissan has launched its first international Nismo Performance Center in Melbourne, Australia. Located at Ferntree Gully Nissan, the facility officially opened its doors on October 4, 2026, marking the brand's first dedicated site outside of Japan.

The center provides local owners of Skyline GT-R and Z models with direct access to technical expertise and restoration services from the Omori Factory. Certified Nismo Meisters are now stationed on-site to perform both partial and full-vehicle restorations using authentic heritage components.

Previously, Australian owners faced challenges sourcing genuine parts, often relying on imports or reproductions. The new facility maintains a stock of official performance parts, streamlining the supply chain for classic vehicle maintenance and technical consultations.

The service scope currently covers R32, R33, and R34 generations of the Skyline GT-R, as well as Nissan Z models. These services utilize fabrication techniques and knowledge consistent with Nismo's standards since its founding in 1984 and the establishment of the Omori Factory in 1986.

Nissan has designated the Melbourne site as the initial phase of a broader expansion strategy within Australia. The company intends to open additional Nismo Performance Centers across the country starting in 2027, though specific locations and timelines remain unconfirmed.
