Nissan Philippines will launch the Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid and the Primera EV on November 6. These models are developed and manufactured in China through the Dongfeng Zhengzhou Nissan joint venture. This initiative marks the start of a global export strategy that utilizes China as a primary production and development hub.
The Navara Pro PHEV features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, delivering 408 horsepower and 800 Newton-meters of torque. It is equipped with a 32.85 kWh battery, providing an electric range of 135 kilometers. The vehicle is built on a ladder chassis and includes a mechanical four-wheel-drive system.
The Primera EV is a midsize sedan based on the Dongfeng Nissan N7 platform. It offers two battery options: a 58 kWh pack with a 510-kilometer range and a 73 kWh pack with a 635-kilometer range. The platform supports 400V fast-charging, allowing a 30 to 80 percent charge in 14 minutes.
These new models complement the existing e-POWER lineup in the Philippines, which includes the Kicks e-POWER and the X-Trail e-POWER. The X-Trail e-POWER is currently priced at PHP 2,290,000, which is approximately $36,700.
