Nio's Hong Kong-listed shares fell by 9.16 percent to HKD 30.14 on Tuesday, reaching their lowest level since July 2025. The drop followed the release of August delivery data, which showed a decline in performance for the company's Onvo brand.
In August, Nio delivered 35,836 vehicles, which is a 14.47 percent increase year-on-year but a 0.27 percent decrease compared to July. This marks the second consecutive month of sequential decline for the company's total deliveries.
The main Nio brand delivered 21,174 vehicles, growing 101.18 percent year-on-year. Conversely, the Onvo brand delivered 8,810 vehicles, representing a 46.39 percent year-on-year drop and a 13.24 percent decline from July. Firefly deliveries reached 5,852 units.
For the second quarter, Nio reported 107,658 total deliveries, falling short of the guidance range of 110,000 to 115,000 units. Despite this, total deliveries for the first eight months of the year reached 262,893 vehicles, up 57.92 percent year-on-year.
Investors are currently focused on the company's multi-brand strategy and the upcoming earnings report. The market is awaiting details on non-GAAP profitability and management's outlook for the third quarter and the remainder of the year.
